Jung Jinyoung plays a devoted single father. His character finds love in Ms. Incognito. Catch the premiere on September 29.
Singer-actor Jung Jinyoung is diving deep into a compelling new role in ENA’s upcoming drama “Ms. Incognito,” and he’s opening up about what drew him to this complex character. The drama itself is a fascinating blend of romance and crime, centering on Jeon Yeo Been’s character, Kim Young Ran. A bodyguard from a poor background, she makes a drastic life change by entering a contract marriage with a terminally ill chaebol chairman (Moon Sung Geun), hoping to secure a future for herself. However, when others begin scheming to seize the chairman's vast fortune, she is forced to go into hiding for three months under the new identity of Boo Se Mi, a kindergarten teacher in the quiet, rural Muchang Village.
It is in this village that Jung Jinyoung’s character, Jeon Dong Min, resides. He is a strawberry farmer and, significantly, a single father raising his young son. Jinyoung was immediately captivated by the project from the very beginning.
“As soon as I read the script, I knew I wanted to do it. I was overseas at the time when a sudden meeting with the director was arranged. I felt I couldn’t miss the chance, so I met him the moment I got back to Korea, and my desire to join grew even stronger. I’ve also long admired the writer’s films, so I didn’t want to let this opportunity slip by," Jung Jinyoung revealed, quoted from Soompi.
His character, Dong Min, is a man scarred by his past, which has made him inherently cautious and mistrustful of outsiders. Yet, beneath that guarded exterior, Jinyoung found a warmhearted and pure soul.

A Bond Forged in the Rain and a Premiere Date
Despite his gentle appearance, Jinyoung was keen to emphasize his character's inner fortitude. He detailing the character's emotional journey as he begins to break down his walls after meeting the mysterious Boo Se Mi.
“I focused on showing the courage that Dong Min carries within him. Although I’ve never experienced fatherhood myself, I wanted to capture his bravery in protecting his son and holding onto what’s precious," Jinyoung detailed.
He further described Dong Min as “a strong man,” elaborating, “Even though he appears gentle on the outside, he has the resilience to quietly carry out his work and raise his son on his own.”
Jinyoung believes the heart of the show often lies in the “fantastic chemistry between Dong Min and his son,” promising viewers a special, innocent, and almost friend-like relationship that will be a key point to watch.

Stills from the show capture this fateful moment, hinting at the thrilling and tender romance to come. For Dong Min, a man who trusts no one, and for Young Ran (disguised as Se Mi), a woman who must deceive everyone to survive, their wary glances in the close-knit village of Muchang soon spark subtle changes and undeniable chemistry.
“Ms. Incognito” boasts a stellar cast including Jeon Yeo Been, Jang Yoon Ju as the ambitious step-daughter Ga Seon Young, Seo Hyun Woo as the sly lawyer Lee Don, and Joo Hyun Young. It premieres on September 29, 2025, at 10 p.m. KST and will be available for international audiences on Viki.
