Kim Jong Kook Talks Sperm Tests and Shuts Down Fake News About His Wife

Kim Jong Kook invited only fifty guests to his wedding.
He revealed an impressive sperm count.
All rumors about his wife were false.

Kim Jong Kook recently opened up about the incredibly intimate nature of his wedding, revealing that he and his bride opted for a very small ceremony with just 50 guests on each side, making for a total of roughly 100 attendees. This decision, while meaningful for the couple, inevitably left some friends and colleagues feeling a little left out.

On the September 14th episode of SBS's ‘My Little Old Boy,’ his co-star Kim Hee-chul didn’t hold back his disappointment.

"Why didn't you invite the 'My Little Old Boy' team? I feel so distant from hyung," asked KIm Hee-chul.

Kim Jong Kook offered a sincere explanation for his tight guest list.

“Personally, I agree. If you made it bigger, you should have invited us. Since you made it smaller, there aren’t many people who can come," he answered.

He further clarified his criteria, saying, “I only invited people I see at least once a week and contact once every two or three days,” which even included his daily gym manager.

The guest list became a hot topic among the cast. Kim Hee-chul, trying to make sense of it, noted the importance of inviting certain figures, emphasizing that “Seo Jang-hoon must be invited.”

“That’s why I invite Seo Jang Hoon hyung too. We keep in touch often," Kim Jong Kook confirmed.

When Hee-chul probed about another star, Shin Dong Yup, Jong Kook shared, “My mom said I had to invite him.”

Hearing that both Seo Jang-hoon and Shin Dong-yup made the cut while he did not, Hee-chul exclaimed, “Then I’m the only one who feels weird?” He only found solace upon learning that Tak Jae-hoon was also not invited, remarking, “Isn’t Tak Jae Hoon hyung going? That’s fine.”

Shortly after the wedding, Kim Jong Kook’s immediate post-marriage plans became crystal clear, and they had nothing to do with a relaxing honeymoon. Instead, the “Tiger” is fiercely focused on starting a family right away. Just ten days after tying the knot, he announced on the same show.

“I'm planning on having one right away. I'm only thinking about one because of my age. I'd be grateful if a healthy child is born," he revealed.

Kim Jong Kook then stunned the cast with a truly unforgettable and hilarious reveal about his preparedness, boasting about his sperm test and male hormone level.

“I recently had a sperm test and there were 215 million sperm. My male hormone level also came out at 9.98," joked Kim Jong Kook.

The room erupted in laughter, with the cast joking, “With that level, three people could do it.” He further expressed a strong desire for a daughter, calling them "pretty and comfortable," while humorously worrying about a potential son who might like luxury goods, quipping, “Who does my XX look like?”

The wedding itself was emceed by his longtime friend and national MC, Yoo Jae-suk, who shared the quirky behind-the-scenes story on ‘Running Man’. Yoo Jae-suk recalled a bizarre promise from 12 years ago, stating, “Jong-kook said he'd wear a flounder tail when he got married.”

True to his word, Yoo Jae-suk attended the ceremony in a suit with what appeared to be a dried flounder tucked into the back, fulfilling the vow in the most eccentric way possible and lightening the formal atmosphere.

Finally, Kim Jong Kook took a firm stand to set the record straight about the rampant online speculation surrounding his mysterious wife. He directly addressed and shut down the wild rumors one by one.

“My wife has nothing to do with exercise, I’ll be precise. I won’t say anything else, but all the articles that pop up on the internet are not true," he clarified.

“It’s not like the rumors say, it’s not like I’m from LA, a cosmetics CEO, or an English instructor. It’s not even close to the truth, it’s fake. Except for the gender, it’s all true, the only thing that’s true is that I’m married," Kim Jong Kook concluded.

This put to rest fantasies about her being an AI, the daughter of an LA CEO, or a fitness expert, confirming only the simple, beautiful truth which is Kim Jong Kook married the woman he loves.

Oppa’s always been so private, but 215 million?! Congrats on the wedding and future babies! :ring:

Was it a shotgun wedding? :face_with_monocle: Come on, just show us your wife already. I can’t be the only one who’s curious….

At his age and with a sperm test like that? The man’s clearly still fertile and healthy. Good for him!

Ah, leave the man be. Some of us prefer a bit of mystery over a circus. Besides, my bet’s on her being lovely

Oh honey, I had the same reaction! So happy for him and his new wife. They’re going to have such beautiful, strong babies! :baby_bottle:

Right?! It’s so refreshing to see someone embrace fatherhood so openly. Wishing them so much health and happiness on this new journey!

Easy for you to say  A little mystery is one thing, but total secrecy just fuels more rumors. I still think there’s more to the story.

Do you think his tight guest list might have hurt some friendships, like with Hee-chul?

He-chul looked disappointed, but I think he understands the reasoning.

Inviting only people he sees weekly… wow, that’s actually kind of touching. It shows how much he values his daily circle.

Sometimes keeping weddings small means some people feel left out… it’s tough.

Yoo Jae-suk showing up with a dried flounder tail?? That’s peak ‘Running Man’ friendship :joy: Legendary!
